Foxie was a beautiful, young fox who loved to play outside with her friends. Moreso, however, Foxie liked to learn new things. Her big brother was always on his laptop writing papers for school (a place Foxie couldn't wait until she was old enough to go) and she wanted to learn how to write, too. But she didn't want to write boring research papers, she wanted to write about the fun things her and her friends did. So, she went to her big brother, Foxton, and asked him if he would be willing to teach her. Unfortunately, Foxton claimed he was 'too busy' to help Foxie and told her to ask their dad.
Foxie then went into the kitchen where her dad was cooking dinner. She looked to her dad and asked him if he would teach her how to write. Unfortunately, her dad was too busy, too, and he suggested that she try asking her mom for help. So, Foxie trotted through the house all the way to her parent's bedroom where her mom was rocking her baby sister. She asked her mom if she would teach her to write, but her mom said she was too busy with the baby and suggested that Foxie try to ask one of her friends.
Foxie was feeling quite disappointed. It seemed like everyone was too busy to teach her how to write. However, Foxie wasn't going to let that stop her from continuing to try. So, Foxie walked outside and to the neiborhood park and found her best friend, Kittie, sitting on a swing. She walked up to Kittie and asked her if she would help her learn to write. Unfortunately, Kittie didn't know how to write, either. Foxie, feeling sad and disappointed, was cheered up by her friend when Kittie suggested to Foxie that they could learn to write together. Foxie agreed and so the two sat at the picnic table in the park and began trying to draw their ABC's on some paper that Foxie had been carrying around with her in her hopes of being taught.
As the two girls were trying to remember what the difference between the letter R and the letter K was, Mr. Bearingston, a nearby neighbor, approached with a smile. He asked if the girls needed any help with their letters and Foxie was over the moon with excitement. Mr. Bearingston sat between the two and taught them how to write their ABC's. When the sun began to set, the two girls were overjoyed to have learned this new skill. Foxie went home for dinner and told her whole family how she had learned to write. As they congratulated her, she felt encouraged and was excited to write more than ABC's in the future.
THE END.
